Effulgent is a new word in my vocabulary....Very appropriate for your wonderful photographs.
It's new for me too; I like it because I would never have guessed it means "radiant".

"Mine Epitaph shall sound of traine-shut sluces, of the Thespian spring, where chatring birds, Dodonean trees do sing." A pretty good word, Dodonean. I may have to use that one.
Dodoni is my village. There is an ancient open-air theater (the oldest in Greece) and also the ancient oracle where priests used to listen to the sound the wind made through the leaves and give answers to people about their future. That's why "Dodonean trees do sing".I'll be glad to see "Dodonean" on your blog. Did I misspell it, by the way?
Hey Evi ... I was writing a post on the BBC today, and it got me thinking about our conversation regarding TV and specifically the BBC's 'Sherlock' series! I'm not a big TV watcher, as I'm guessing you've gathered, but I am a Sherlock Holmes fan and that series just blew me away. I, like much of Britain, am anxiously awaiting the 3rd series right now. Have you seen it? If not, you must, you must, you must! : o D
Hi Ed,I haven't seen it but I think I heard of it before. Thanks for recommending it, I'm putting it on my "to watch" list! :) I'm off to visit your blog now!
RYC on said blog visit: When I speak Spanish, I've been told that it's hard to tell that I'm English, which makes me jolly proud indeed. However, I then usually mess it up by doing something like ordering crumpets and a cup of tea. Ah well.
Beautiful pictures, as always. :) I love it when the sun's just barely poking through the clouds, it's almost spiritual.RYC: Thank you for watching the video, glad you enjoyed it! We do seem to have a lot in common! Wasn't it hell to grow up with curls without knowing how to handle them? Not sure how long I walked around with my brushed out poof in a ponytail, but I was definitely 17 or older. And my braces: 5 years too (11-16)! Not just normal retainers, but some weird contaption that had to move my lower jaw forward and surgery and everything. Ah, great times...
Oh yes!Curls are exhausting! Oh, I had terrible experiences with my braces too. I had surgery 4 times;I can still feel a scar on my palate. It was AWFUL!!
