New York: apartment views

What does the city look like from an apartment? We were lucky enough to find out as our good friends invited us over to theirs.

The sunset from Darcy and Emma's apartment...

The city from Sarah and Cary's apartment:

-the nightshots are my husband's work-

That's the last New York post. If you want to take a look at the previous ones, they're here:

Enjoy the rest of your week! :)

  7. New York is a pretty cloudy city, I didn't expect that. But the views are amazing, views like that is something you don't see here in Belgium. So many appartment buildings and highrises! There's no way that would mix with our old buildings.

RYCs: Oh, Nicholas Sparks is great too! Predictable isn't always bad, on the contrary, who wants to think all the time? Books are there to make us relax!

You should try a facemask sometime, just for the fun of it. I started with just regular yoghurt masks (yoghurt + honey), but those are kinda runny and you can't really do much while wearing them apart from hanging above your sink so the yoghurt that drips off doesn't end up everywhere around your house :P
But the one I'm wearing is a clay mask. It's easy, rather dry, you can do stuff while wearing it, rinses off easily, not too expensive... As for mani-pedi: never done that either. I don't like people fiddling with my feet and hands. Beh, feet.

Picture every day for the rest of my days? Mmmm nah... It'd get really boring for people to read, no? My life isn't that exciting. Besides, I'm beginning to miss my regular cartoon posts! ^^

  8. Evi, Thanks for visiting my blog. I am finally getting a chance to pop over here and read your posts! Love all the New York ones. Love to see it and hear your take on it. I agree it is crowded and horrible being there in the heat! I can't believe the line at Trader Joes! Crazy.

I am looking forward to reading more- I love your honesty and writing! Great photos too!

  9. RYC: I actually don't care about any kind of royalty, be it Belgian or from any other country. They're part of our history, so I don't mind them, but I've never fawned over celebrities, why would I do so over royalty? It's just a special occasion, since our old king chose to abdicate, something that has never happened in our country before.

As for authority: like I said: they only have a ceremonial function. Real authority lies with the parliament, which we chose ourselves.

Also: twelve monarchies, says Wikipedia :)

  16. Great shots, personally I prefer greenery to concrete but there is something about it isn't there? Mr P is in New York this week, he was greeted at JFK with massive thunderstorms and rain so heavy he thought the taxi was going to float away!!! Hahaha, I might tell him I need something from Trader Joes, just to keep him busy ;o) xxx

    1. I'm with you about greenery, but there is indeed something about the NY view.

Hhahaha, poor Mr P! If you're going to make him wait for ages, why not at least send him to Century 21? A dress is always better than organic cookies, right? :)
