New York #3: Sunday

It was Sunday but we had to...

...early and take advantage of our limited time in the city.

So after a walk along the Hudson in Hoboken, we took the PATH train again and got off on 33rd St. And we started walking.

Through Central Park...

It was getting very hot and brunch sounded like a pretty good idea. So, out of the park and straight into Isabella's on the Upper West Side.

Then, more walking! But first a look at antiques and hand-made things. It was too hot to focus on buying anything, though.

This caught my eye...

We headed back towards Times Square; we had tickets to see The Realistic Joneses. After 5 seasons of Six Feet Under and 8 seasons of Dexter, I can't believe I saw Michael C. Hall perform live! And also, Toni Colette, Tracy Letts (he's written August:Osage County!) and Marisa Tomei! We enjoyed the play and laughed a lot. You can read a review I wholeheartedly agree with, here:

And then, it was time to head back to NJ. So on through the crowds (ew) and towards the train station, we came across this...

We were in the Garment District

Then, a peek at the Empire State Building...

After going back to NJ and getting the car, we decided to drive on the Brooklyn Bridge. Good thing we did, because Brooklyn seemed great. I think we'll be visiting there next time!

  1. You saw Michael C. Hall perform live?? That's freaking awesome. SFU and Dexter are two of my top-five favorite shows ever, and it's so neat that he was in both. I remember reading that the creator of Six Feet Under discovered him in a Broadway play. So cool!

  6. Whaaa! There are people in your pictures! It's like the apocalyptically empty world of Evi has suddenly been repopulated!

And stop going to New York. It's not fair. I want to go to New York. Everyone's going to New York except me.

    1. Sometimes it's so hard to wait for a place to empty so you can take a proper photo of it! #misanthropist

But it's so fun that you noticed! The flea market shot was taken by the husband (for the record).

I'm sure when you do go to NY, you'll love it! How do I know that? Because I don't really like it! :) *sticks tongue out* or :P
